Will and Lara Sussman – Owners

Meribel Ski Chalets was born out of a three-way dilemma – how do we combine our passion for skiing, the mountains, a love of sailing and the sea, and provide a stable home for our rapidly expanding family? The answer was to live by the sea in the UK, and buy a ski chalet in Meribel.
We have been operating in Meribel since 2000, and have carefully taken on chalets that we feel offer the right mix of comfort, location and value.  All four of our chalets in Meribel have hot-tubs, and three of them have fantastic town-centre or piste-side locations.  Chalet Snowbel has just undergone a refurbishment in the living room and dining area. La Petite Silene – right in the centre of town and boasting a hot-tub and sauna.  Le Marmotton boasts great value with a comfortable, homely ambiance.  And our most recent addition –  the amazing Chalet Les Griottes, right on the slopes.
Over the past 17 years, we’ve been working hard to perfect our service to you. From the first call or email, right through to the end of your holiday, we listen to our guest feedback intently, using it to improve how we look after you each year. We take great care to choose and train our staff to look after you to the highest standard. Moreover, we always look at ways of improving our chalets, and the service we offer you.
Our aim is to look after our guests, our staff and our suppliers with honesty and integrity. Meribel Ski Chalets offers chalets with hot-tubs, in the best locations and with the best service.
We would love to welcome you.
Will and Lara.

Meet the chalet hosts.

In charge of Les Griottes we have Steve and Catherine.
Catherine is 24, blessed with a Northern Irish accent and Steve is 28 and from Wiltshire. In their free time they both like being outdoors and when the sun is out they enjoy packing up a tent, bikes and heading off for an adventure. Catherine is a keen pianist and occasional guitarist, whereas Steve’s music-related talents are usually best witnessed on a dance floor!
They both enjoy a party, experimenting in the kitchen and trying out new recipes on friends. Steve says: “We are so excited about spending this winter in Meribel, and can’t wait to meet a lot of new faces and improve our ski skills!”

In La Petite Silene we have Lucy and Abi.
Lucy hails from Wakefield, and this is her 3rd ski season.  She’s coming to us straight from completing a Diploma at Tante Marie Chef School, so we are expecting some culinary treats to appear on your dinner table.

Abi is taking a career break from being a primary school teacher and will be welcoming you with a broad smile, and a “nothing is too much trouble” attitude.  She’s currently travelling around Asia with her boyfriend Charlie.

Charlie, Abi’s other half, will be your driver – he’ll pick you up at the airport (if you’ve booked one of our transfers), and he’ll drive Marmotton guests to and from the slopes.  He’s also a primary school teacher on a career break, and a qualified ski teacher – so expect some tips on your way to the slopes.  He’s also a Chelsea fan, but we won’t mention that.

We’re thrilled to have Harrie coming back for a second season.  She’ll be looking after you in Snowbel.  This is her second season with us, but we’ve lost count as to how many seasons she’s done in total.  She’s a true pro, and delights in cooking and cleaning to a very high standard.  She’s into yoga and snowboarding, but as far as we know, not at the same time.

Finally, another returnee to Meribel Ski Chalets.  Josh worked for us 5 years ago in Marmotton with his friend Joe, and they were a real hit with our guests.  Now Josh is back, this time with his girlfriend Hannah, and they’re back in Marmotton.  This will be Hannah’s first season but she’s a keen skier and loves cooking and can’t wait to get started. Josh and Hannah met at school and lead a very active lifestyle, hiking, cycling and going to a Crossfit gym. They are dedicated, enthusiastic and hard-working and really want you to have a very special and memorable holiday with us.
