Chalet Le Marmotton
Chalet Le Marmotton is a spacious 10-person chalet with a stress-busting outdoor hot-tub on the large south-facing terrace. The chalet has 5 ensuite bedrooms (4 with baths, 1 with a shower), and two of the rooms have balconies. Bedroom 5 is a family room that has an upstairs mezzanine ideal for two more children. So in all, the chalet can sleep up to 10 adults and 2 children.
Chalet Le Marmotton has plenty of living space. The living room has a lovely sunken fireplace with room for 3 people to sit and have a cosy tete-a-tete, whilst behind them is the larger seating area with room for about 7 people to kick-back and relax, and watch the wall-mounted flat-screen TV, with free-to-air TV and DVD player. For family groups, or for those who can’t agree what to watch, there’s a second TV and DVD player upstairs on the mezzanine. So the kids can chill out in the beanbag zone, and give the adults a bit of p & q downstairs.
The dining area is just off the living room, and has a large farmhouse table, with room for up to 12 people. This is a rustic stone-walled room with a traditional chalet feel. The open-plan kitchen dining area has French windows leading out onto the terrace, so it’s an easy stroll from grabbing your beer out of the fridge, slipping off your complimentary bathrobe, and easing yourself into the hot, bubbling, muscle-soothing Jacuzzi. As you let the hot-tub take away all your aches and pains after another gruelling day on the slopes, you can relax, enjoy your drink, and soak up the stunning views (of the mountains, of course…). You can then dry yourself off in the bubble car – yes there’s an old out-of-service bubble car on the terrace, for that authentic ski holiday feeling.
Chalet Le Marmotton is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac near Dick’s T Bar, and just below the main centre of Meribel. We’ll run you up to the slopes each day in our courtesy minibus, and pick you up at the end of the day. If you want to be independent, then there’s also the free regular Meribel bus service that stops 50 yards from the chalet, or you could just walk to the slopes, which will take about 15 minutes (uphill in the morning, downhill at the end of the day – we think of everything!). In the evening, it will take you less than 10 minutes to walk into the centre of Meribel, and its choice of bars, restaurants and shops.
There is plenty of parking by Chalet Le Marmotton. The chalet has free wifi access.
Chalet Le Marmotton is ideal for a group of friends or 2 or 3 families looking for a very comfortable chalet with the fantastic Meribel Ski Chalets service, and the all-important hot-tub.
We'll upload more details about the chalet in the next few weeks, just wanted to give you something to read about now. You can find out prices for our new chalet by clicking on Availability.
