Food

You will be looked after by a chalet host.  They’ll come in each morning, and cook you a warming breakfast, to set you up for the day – eggs, porridge, croissants, baguettes, tea, fresh coffee, fresh fruit.  As you head out to the slopes, you can help yourself from the snack-attack drawer.  At the end of a long day on the slopes, you’ll come back to an afternoon tea, of home-made cakes, and biscuits.  Then your chalet host will return in the evening to cook you a delicious 3-course meal.  You’ll enjoy canapés with a glass of wine or beer before dinner, and then sit down to a cordon-bleu meal, all served with specially selected fine wines.  As you kick back and relax after dinner, you’ll be served freshly brewed coffee or a choice of teas with after-dinner chocolates.

food 2The Extra Touches

If you're staying at Chalet Sainte Appolonnie, we'll serve champagne every night as you put your feet up in front of the fire, enjoying the canapes.  There's also a drinks cabinet stocked with all your favourites.  Stuart, our fantastic chef, will serve you a gourmet 4-course meal (including a cheese course of local speciality cheeses).  After dinner we'll serve coffee, chocolates and port.

When you arrive at Chalet Snowbel and Les Grands Sorbiers, we'll welcome you with a couple of bottles of champagne just to ease you in to your holiday in style.  Each evening, following your delicious 3-course meal you can enjoy a cheeseboard with Savoyarde cheeses, biscuits, grapes and celery, before we bring out the coffee and chocolates.

Children
We know that all families have different eating habits, and we want you to feel very much at home.  To this end, we’re very happy to prepare a kids' supper earlier in the evening – something like spaghetti bolognaise or shepherd’s pie ramekins, or just good old pizza or fish-fingers.

We’ll go through with you what your children like to eat or not, and make sure we fill the fridge accordingly.

food 3Food requirements, allergies etc
We’ll discuss your food requirements with you before the holiday, to make sure we have everything you need.  We can offer vegetarian alternatives to each meal, and over the past 8 years, we have catered for all sorts of allergies (nuts, eggs, wheat and many more), likes or dislikes or just plain old fussy eaters.  We’ll cater to your needs, not to our fixed menu plans.
