Will and Lara Sussman – Owners
Meribel Ski Chalets was born out of a three-way dilemma – how do we combine our passion for skiing and the great outdoors, with a love of sailing and the sea, and provide a stable home for our rapidly expanding young family. The answer was to live by the sea, and buy a ski chalet in Meribel for us to enjoy long and easy skiing holidays.
Since 2001, we have gone from strength to strength, buying a second chalet, Chalet Snowbel in 2005, taking on a third, Chalet Sainte Appolonnie, in 2008. In 2010 we expanded again – Chalet Le Marmotton is a spacious and desirable chalet with an enviable outdoor decking area and unprecedented views. And then there were 5, with our exciting new addition, La Petite Silene, right in the centre of town.
With so many people now looking for more cost-friendly family holidays, and Meribel becoming the rising summer star in the French Alps, we are excited to offer you the above properties as our summer chalets. Having been lucky enough to be operating in the Alps for the last 15 years, we have experienced nearly everything the mountains have to offer, and we reckon we’ve worked out how to have the perfect self-catered alpine holiday – you want to feel like your chalet is your home away from home with all the same facilities. Moreover, you want easy access to the all the activities on offer.
With 3 self-catered chalets to choose from, we feel we can provide the platform for your perfect alpine holiday, ideal for your group or family. We strive to make sure we offer you the best possible service at a fair price. We aim to look after our guests and our suppliers with honesty and integrity.
Nicholas Brown – Business Manager
Having felt a call away from his desk in Canary Wharf, in the world of oil and shipping, life took a sharp handbrake right-turn for the better when at the end of 2010 he found himself working for a holiday company in the French Alps.
After completing what was labelled a year of ‘Internship’, Nick quickly progressed through the ranks to working as the Operations Manager where he not only learned the intricacies of all things French but also fell even more deeply in love with skiing and alpine activities in general.
Fast-forward 5 years and Nick finds himself helping run Meribel Ski Chalets with Will, in the same resort where it all began for him along with bagfuls of experience and a desire to help provide great holidays. A lover of life, of people, of road cycling (but by virtue of his size really it should be rugby), when Nick’s not skiing (ahem…co-running Meribel Ski Chalets) or cycling he can be found in church getting stuck in with serving his local community.
