Ski Pass

To make your holiday as easy as possible, we can organise your ski passes for you. You can pre-order your passes by e-mailing or calling us, and they will be waiting for you at the chalet when you arrive.

If you pre-order through us, for adults buying a 6-day pass or more, we can get you the group/Tribu rate and save you €15 on a 3 Valley pass or €10 on a Meribel Valley pass.

For all other ski passes (children, family, seniors) the cost is the same whether you buy through us or the ski pass office, it’s just easier having the passes waiting for you at the chalet.

What pass should you choose: There are two main choices – you go for either a Meribel Valley or a Three Valley Ski Pass.

The 3 Valley ski pass allows you to use every lift in the whole of the 3 Valleys area, from Courchevel through to Val Thorens and over to Orelle. This is a huge ski area, with every level of run from green to black. You certainly won’t be bored.

The Meribel Valley ski pass allows you to use every lift within the Meribel Mottaret valley, which is still a large area, and is the ideal pass for beginners and intermediates. You can buy a daily 3 Valley extension pass if you decided you wanted to go further afield one day.

Reductions: If you are under 5 you go free. If you’re over 75 you go free. If you are under 13 or over 65 you pay a reduced rate.

Family Pass: These are available for families with 2 parents and 2 or more children aged 5 – 17 inclusive. They represent a big saving because everyone pays the child price.

With a family pass, you still get your individual lift passes –  so you don’t all have to ski together!

Ski Insurance We recommend that you buy ski insurance to cover you for any accidents on the mountain. You can either get this at home with the winter cover on your travel insurance – check what this covers you for, and be aware that you will probably have to pay for rescue or treatment up front and then claim it back.

Alternatively, you can get ski insurance with your ski pass. This will cover you for mountain rescue, and emergency treatment until you’re in a stable state in hospital, and reimbursement of your lift pass for up to 3 days.

In case of emergency, just show your ski pass and you’ll have nothing to pay. This ski insurance can be bought with the ski pass or can be added on at the lift office.

Those entitled to free ski passes will still need to pay for insurance if you want the cover.
Cost of insurance is 3.00 euros per day for an adult or child for up to 7 days.  For 8 – 21 days, it’s a fixed price of €24.  (Insurance prices TBC). To find what’s covered by the Carré Neige insurance click here
