Meribel Ski Chalets was born out of a three-way dilemma – how do we combine our passion for skiing and the mountains, a love of being by the sea, and provide a stable home for our 4 young children? The answer was to live by the sea in the UK, and buy a ski chalet in Meribel.
We bought Les Grands Sorbiers in 2000 and have carefully taken on chalets that we feel offer the right mix of comfort, location and value. Two of our chalets are right in the centre of Meribel and both have hot-tubs.

The ground-floor boot room was extremely convenient, and having a supermarket just a few doors away made self-catering simple—yet the chalet is so well soundproofed that there was zero noise disturbance. The sauna and terrace hot tub were fantastic features, and the communal living area comfortably accommodated 8 adults. We will definitely be back next season!”

It’s a brief walk to the escalators taking you straight onto the slopes, and the location puts ski hire, supermarkets, bars, and restaurants right on your doorstep. The hot tub and sauna were real highlights. The open living space with its large sofa and dining area was ideal—we cooked dinner for seven on three nights, and the spacious kitchen was a joy to use.
